Data Deletion

You have the right to delete your Pauzi account and all associated data at any time. You can also delete only specific data (a child profile, telemetry, etc.) without deleting your account.

Partial deletion (without deleting your account)

If you want to delete only specific data and keep your account, you have 3 options:

Delete a child profile

  1. Open the Pauzi app
  2. Go to Child profiles
  3. Select the profile and tap Edit
  4. Scroll down and tap Delete profile
  5. Confirm in the dialog that lists what gets deleted

Deleted: the child’s settings, allowed apps, sessions, reports, Patience Chest, rewards, and device pairings. The rest of your account (other children, subscription, your settings) remains intact.

Disable anonymous telemetry

Settings → Notifications → toggle Anonymous data off. Stops future collection of analytics events. Existing events can be deleted on request by email.

Custom request by email

For any other granular request (e.g. “delete sessions older than 6 months”), send an email to privacy@pauzi.app with details. We respond within 30 days, usually much faster.

Method 1 — In the app (recommended)

  1. Open the Pauzi app on your phone
  2. Go to Settings (the ⚙️ icon in the top right)
  3. Tap Account
  4. Scroll down and tap Delete account
  5. Confirm with your account password

Pauzi app data is immediately deleted from our active systems, except for the legal retention described below. Rolling backups are automatically deleted within 30 days.

Method 2 — By email

If you’ve already uninstalled the app or can’t log in, send an email to privacy@pauzi.app with the following:

  • Subject: Data deletion request
  • The email address you registered with in Pauzi
  • (Optional) Reason for deletion — helps us improve the app

We verify the email comes from the account holder (we reply with a confirmation request to the account email), then delete all data within 30 days and send you confirmation.

What gets deleted

  • Your account (email, password hash in Supabase Auth, settings, parental PIN hash)
  • All child profiles (name, age, avatar, preferences, routines)
  • Session history, overlay events, live state and activity
  • Allowed app list and parent/child device records linked to the account
  • Custom activities, Patience Chest, stars, reward history and generated TTS audio
  • FCM tokens (from all devices associated with the account)
  • Sentry reports linked to the account (anonymized/deleted on request, within Sentry’s available controls)

What is retained (legal obligation)

Per Romanian Fiscal Code, we are required to retain:

  • Premium subscription invoices — 10 years from issuance

These invoices contain only accounting data (email, amount, transaction date) — not data about the child or activity.

Active subscription

Deleting the account does NOT automatically cancel your Premium subscription via Google Play. To stop auto-renewal:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app
  2. Tap your profile picture (top right)
  3. Go to Payments & subscriptionsSubscriptions
  4. Select Pauzi and tap Cancel subscription

Cancellation must be done at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
